The finance panel discussions are aimed at issues faced emerging companies in the clean energy market. If you are starting up clean energy business, or looking down the road toward raising expansion capital or building out your first scaled-up project, this is an opportunity to learn from the experience of leading clean energy entrepreneurs and investors.
This year, we are featuring panel discussions on venture capital issues, project finance and seed and angel financing. We have also added a new panel especially for companies considering accessing government funds under ARRA or other program, which is becoming an integral part of the clean-tech growth process.
The finance panel discussions are organized by Gerard O'Connor, a business law partner at Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton, PC.
Panel Discussion: Renewables Projects in Massachusetts. How well can large-project nonrecourse financing methods to smaller projects? Our panelists will discus the state of community-scale renewables projects in Massachusetts - how they are (or are not) getting financed, what role state and federal subsidies and incentives are playing, and the outlook for these projects.
Seed-level funding for clean tech companies poses special challenges. Our panel will discuss how clean-tech angel investors analyze these challenges and opportunities and how clean tech entrepreneurs should best approach angel investors as part of their financing strategy.
Where does the clean tech sector stand in the uncertain VC climate of 2009? What are the most important current issues and the outlook for clean tech VCs? What should start-up companies expect over the next year? Our panel will discuss these and other issues.p>
